Why are my menu links are overlaying the slideshow in Denali theme?

If you have no setup your Menus, WordPress will automatically grab all of your top level pages, and stick them into the menu. To avoid this, visit Appearance -> Menus, create a new menu, and then select the menu you have created in the “Header Menu” dropdown in the “Theme Locations” box
